I have been teaching basic principles of data visualization design to academic and professional audiences for several years in workshops as well as in lectures and talks. Get in touch, if you are interested in hiring me for your organization!
Depending on context and audience I offer one-day and three-day workshops. One-day workshops give participants an opportunity to learn the basic principles of data visualization by applying them in an exemplary project. Three-day workshops delve a little deeper and in addition to learning data visualization principles make participants familiar with the basics of data processing and data cleaning, allowing them to work with their own datasets and create first meaningful data visualizations based on their specific data on their own.
In the most compact way I provide audiences with an overview of data visualization principles and their application in one-hour talks including a demonstration of the application of data visualization to typical datasets the audience has to deal with.
